Guess I'll add this too

Yeah, this is a quiz I found on the LJ of Cyrus "OSHS MASTA NINJA" Cooper

You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

agnosticism

79%

atheism

71%

Islam

54%

Paganism

50%

Satanism

50%

Judaism

46%

Buddhism

42%

Christianity

29%

Hinduism

17%

</td>

Which religion is the right one for you?
Damn Tsunamis

After receiving several emails and text messages, i would just like to make it known that I am still alive. My Dad and I felt the earthquake, but there was no damage where we were- north of Bangkok, Thailand. We did not know about the tsunamis until later that evening when we got back into the city. When we left yesterday for Cambodia, the Bangkok International Airport was full of westerners fleeing Phuket, as well as locals who could afford the air travel. The south is in chaos right now. The worste hit place in Thailand was the Phi Phi Islands, which are very near Phuket. You have probably seen these Islands in "The Beach." It is feared that there are as many as 2000 westerners dead in Thailand alone.
Right now I am in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is an incredible city- very vibrant, very poor and very sad. It is very beautiful in places- It was a French Colony until shortly before the Khmer Rouge. Many of the beautiful french buildings have fallen into disrepair, but the city is still like a poor, Asian French Quarter.
Today I visted a place called the killing fields. This is where Pol Pot's solders murdered tens of thousands of Cambodians in the 70s. It was horrifying- there were maybe 120 empty pits where the bodys had been removed from and put into a large shrine. I was within a foot of a pile of maybe 10,000 skulls. However, the removal was messy and as we walked through the fields we realized that the crunching beneath our feet was bone and teeth. Later we went to a musemn detailing the torture that the victims would go through before they were killed. It was far worse than anything the nazis did. The compound in which the torture/ murder happened was a former school. In one of the buildings, they had on display all of the photographs the Khmer Rouge had taken of the people before/ after they killed them. Many were young girls maybe 14 or 15 years old. It was very difficult not to cry.

On a happier note- this trip has been awesome. I found the perfect souvenier for Sara today. I also managed to get oil all over a nice polo- though it is ok because the oil came from a K-57 machine gun I was firing. (Big fuckin Russsian gun). I fired my first gun today- an M-16, then an AK- 47, the the K-57.

I guess I will see you guys later. I hope everything is going well in OS and if Robert reads this- Be sure to where a rubber with thouse Costa Rican hoes.

South Korea

What up from South Korea!? South Korea is known for many things- the 2002 World Cup, The Korean War, and of course Sara. Seoul is pretty cool. Sara- I can definitely see the resemblance, especially in the face.
We flew here from Japan this morning- where we went to Tokyo Disney last night. It was awesome- 20,000 Japanese and about 7 westerners. It is the same as the magic kingdom in Orlando, with a few differences. The Haunted Mansion had been totally redecorated for Christmas (which is in full swing here in Asia too). Instead of the normal ride, it was completely redone to incorporate The Nightmare Before Christmas. Fans of the movie would have been impressed.
I'm so glad that we Americans wear deodorant- this european guy on the plane just had a powerful stench to him. A couple of other things which i found interesting about the flight from Tokyo to Seoul was the fact that we went through "hijack security" and that the people in the safety pamphlets you are supposed read before taking off were not the happy, emotionless people that they are in the U.S. (Think Fight Club) In Asia, the people running from the fire on the plane look scared shitless. Much more realistic.
I am also including the generic emails that my dad is writing to people back home. These are from his perspective, so dont think ive gotten all weird and started referring to myself in the third person.
>
>
>
Dear Everyone. It's about 1 p.m. on Tuesday
afternoon and we're in the airport in Seoul, South
Korea. We landed a few minutes ago and we have about
a 3 hour layover before our final leg to Bangkok.
Tokyo was fascinating. This was my first time
outside of an airport in Japan. We checked in to the
Airport Holiday Inn and then quickly regrouped before
heading back to the airport to get transportation to
Tokyo Disneyland. The airport is in the middle of
nowhere, so our best bet was a bus ticket for about
$25 per person. It took over an hour to get there,
but the good news was that there was an after 6 p.m.
special so that it only cost $29 each to get it. The
weather was clear and cold and it was dark by the time
we got there.
Tokyo Disney is basically identical in layout to
Disneyworld, but it's designed for the Japanese - not
foreign tourists. Some of the recordings and
annoucements were in English, but most were in
Japanese. It was decorated for Christmas and it was
packed with Japanese. We saw less than a dozen
westerners out of the 20,000 or so people there. We
had dinner there first (we both ordered the Hamburger
Pizza Set) and then rode Space Mountain before heading
to Pirates of the Caribbean (which is in the New
Orleans section of the part - there's even a Royal
Street and a cajun restaurant). Afterwards we stood
in line for the Christmas version of the Haunted
Mansion which was done with a "Nightmare Before
Christmas" theme.
Most of the Japanese there were teenagers and, as
Benjamin pointed out, very stylishly dressed. It's
apparently "cool" to go to Disneyland with your
friends.
We left around 9:45, but soon discovered that
there weren't any buses back to the airport at that
hour. We ended up taking a taxi that cost us $190
(yes, that's right - $190 U.S.) to get all of the way
back to the airport. We didn't have that much cash on
us, so Benjamin ran into the hotel when we got there
to change some more dollars. It was still absolutely
worth it since we were so tired at that point that
neither of us could have thought clearly enough to
figure out any city bus or train schedule. All in
all, we had a great time and were really glad we had
gone.
We got back to the room at about 10:30 and passed
out. The room was reasonably priced (about $100 US
with taxes included) and comfortable. We woke up at 6
to find that we even had a complimentary copy of "The
Daily Yomiuri" (?) that had been slipped under our
door. We took the shuttle to the airport and after we
went through "highjack security control" (they
actually called it that in an announcement) had a
good breakfast at a Japanese restaurant (noodles and
mixed tempura) before catching our flight to South
Korea.
The flight left at 9:20 and at about 10 a.m. they
came by with a breakfast. Since we had already eaten
we declined and the stewardness then smiled and
offered us beer. We looked at the cart and realized
that the bottom was full of breakfast trays and the
top was nothing but cold Budweiser beer! It was too
weird to pass up, so I had a beer and some peanuts.
Benajmin just laughed at me and took a picture.
We're having a great time and we're not even
there yet! I'll write again soon. Love - Patrick.
>
>
>
>
>
Anyway- I hope all is going well. See ya- Ben

so, i decided to go home to jackson for the first time since the semester started. Sunday at 2am i was awoken by my front doorbell ringing. I went to investigate, only to see a drunk black guy looking through my door at me. My mom freaked out and called the cops. Meanwhile, while my family is freaking out, the guy proceeds to sit on my frontporch for a few minutes. He then decides that he must do something else, so he breaks into my sunroom. As I am standing beside the all glass sunroom door, he sees me and starts to yell at me, "Hey dude, what's going on?" So I walk away (luckily the door has a deadbolt on it) and within two minutes, the cops show up. This one female cop walks into my sunroom, asks if he lives there (he of course responds yes). When he tries to run, the cop tackles him on our glass table- shattering it. About 5 min after that, an ambulance shows up. They sit on our front porch for about 15 min, then finally shove the guy in the back seat of the cop car. (not a comfortable place, trust me) The 3 cop cars then leave, as does the ambulance. The cops never talked to us, they just tackled the guy, hung out for a little while on the porch, then left. Oh yeah, and while this was going on, i was talking to Jenny on AIM. Fun stuff.....

Damnit

So I ruined about $200 worth of clothes last night. I guess a black ink pen was in one of my pants pockets, and when i put them in the dryer, it got loose in the laundry. Now there are black ink splotches on everything. Among the casualties are a $60 ole miss polo, and 2 ole miss t-shirts; all of which i have only worn once. I guess it could be worse though, at least they're not all pink.

the woes of a bureaucrat

So i went to my fist senate meeting. They've already had one, but i was asleep and forgot to go. I am the freshman senator on the academic affairs committee. The amount of power this committee holds is insane; it oversees everything academic, from grading policies to how kids receive credit for study abroad. It has its downsides though. Today we spent an hour hearing speeches from 30 people who wanted the 5 open seats, as well as debated for close to an hour on a constitutional amendment that would remove the word paper from a certain section. Overall it is fun though.
The other interesting thing is that i got an awesome book today, America by the writers of the daily show and jon stewart. It has got to be one of the funniest books i have ever read. I also got this book called jonathon strange and mr norrell. The copy i got is signed by the author and it is supposed to be an excellent novel. Hopefully ill get time to read it. Anyway- Peace out

LOL

So today was Sorority Bid day here at the University of Mississippi. In celebration of this blessed event, Robert, myself and a small group of guys gathered our cameras and lawn chairs and set up camp on sorority row. OMG. There really is no way to describe hundreds of hot sorority girls running and screaming like crazy because they got into some club. It definitely made my afternoon worth while.
Also, i have a question for you guys. Who is the hottest older actress? I said Julianne Moore, but Trang goes with Michelle Phiefer. Please feel free to weigh in.
